Brief and initial design
Discussion, sketches and coffee...
First stage is to discuss your project and brief. Here we will get an understanding of what you like, what you don’t like, get an idea of how you live or work or would like to live or work, and your aspirations for the finished project. At this stage we can give general advice on how to get the project moving forward, including a variety of sketches, drawings and schedules.
Design development
Detailed sketches, colour and materials.
Following the initial design stage we take the various preferred ideas and work them into a more settled scheme, or a developed design for further comment. Again, these are presented in a variety of drawings and 3D sketches to the client for discussion, and begin to explore the design in more detail.
Planning and costing
With a settled design we can then move to secure planning approval (if required).
Plans, elevations and sections, along with explanatory sketches and a planning statement. We can coordinate these on your behalf and assist navigating the design through the planning process with the planning authority.
Construction drawings
Following a successful planning application we would commence detailed design of the proposals. We assist in establishing a consultant team; Structural engineers, service engineers etc.
Our information is of the highest quality and detail, and ensures the contractor has everything they need to build the project to high standards expected. Detailed drawings of critical junctions and elements of architectural ‘finesse’ are provided with accompanying in-depth notation and specification.
Tendering and construction
Over 30 years experience of managing construction projects accross a wide range of sectors.
We assist the client in managing the Tender and Construction process and negotiating with the chosen contractor to get them on-board and started on-site.
Once on-site our involvement can be as flexible as you require, ranging from answering queries from the contractor, to regularly visiting site for work inspections. We have excellent relationships with the best contractors in our area, all of whom are tried-and-tested and have achieved excellent results on previous projects.
